President

As the President of the Board of Directors, I bring my professional expertise as a lawyer and CEO to the forefront of my leadership at VAC AERO International Inc. My commitment to service extends beyond my corporate responsibilities, as I am actively involved in various human rights and community-based organizations.

My volunteer work includes significant roles such as serving on the executive committee of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418 as the By-Law Officer, contributing to the noble cause of Amnesty International, and supporting the vital work of Dog Rescue initiatives.

Additionally, I hold the position of President of the Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, where I advocate for the interests of our members and foster bilateral business relations.

Board of Directors member for over 20 years and previously held position as President for 13 years and was a member of the audit committee.  My volunteer work extends beyond the Paderewski Society Home.  I offer compassionate companionship to patients seeking a Polish-speaking individual during their final moments at the Hospice Centre, especially when family members are unable to be present.  I have been a member of the Polish Scouting Association, where I took on the role of a Girl Guide leader; and I held the position of secretary in the Canadian Polish Congress Niagara Region.  Additionally, I am a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418, serving as the treasurer and a member of the executive committee.

I have served on the Board of Directors for four years where I am also tasked with creating monthly newsletters for our tenants.  Additionally, I volunteer as the President of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418.  I am committed to volunteer service and possess an understanding of mental health issues, supported by my certification in the field.  My educational background includes courses related to senior health, covering topics such as Alzheimer’s Disease, cognitive awareness and senior safety.

Now retired, I spent my career in the construction industry as a skilled carpenter.  Beyond my professional life, I dedicate time to volunteering at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and at the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418, where I hold the position of Second Vice President.

Board of Directors member for four years. I am a seasoned advocate and community builder, bringing governance and governmental relations experience to the board. I have served as a St. Catharines City Councillor and a Niagara Regional Council member. Currently, I work for a national government relations firm. My past roles in property management and television media provide me with a diverse breadth of experience. Additionally, I am deeply engaged in numerous charitable boards and committees, demonstrating my commitment to community development.

I have been a member of the Paderewski Society Home for four years and was recently elected to the Board of Directors. I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. My education also includes electives in the field of criminology. I have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, including those with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome. I am always open and willing to help others and look forward to working with management, the Board of Directors, and supporting tenants as required.

I have been a member of Paderewski Society Home since 2020.  I was elected to the Board of Directors in 2024.  Now retired, I spent my career working as a Personal Support Worker in a nursing home for 20 years.

I have served on the Board of Directors for 25 years and have also been a member of the audit committee.  In addition to my board responsibilities, I am actively involved in the community as the President of the Polish Home in Niagara Falls and also serve as the treasurer for the Canadian Polish Congress in Niagara Region.

Previously a member of the Audit Committee on the Board of Directors.  My volunteer work includes leader of the Polish Girl Scouts for 40 years.  Held the position of secretary of the Polish Combatants Association, Canadian Polish Congress and Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418.  I look forward to continuing my volunteer work with Paderewski Society Home.

I have been a valuable member of the NPH team since 1993, initially working as a co-op manager. In 1998, advanced to become the Manager of Housing Operations. Responsibilities include overseeing and supporting all co-op housing staff, as well as providing support to both Non-Profit and Co-op Boards of Directors.  Have served on the Board of Directors for Rooftops Canada, COCHF, and GHCHF. Additionally, have contributed to several sector committees, including the Providers Advisory Committee, and am a former member of the Niagara Regional Housing Board of Directors.

Over the past 19 years, my tenure at Niagara Peninsula Homes has enriched me with extensive knowledge and experience in property management. My role has been pivotal in bridging the communication between tenants and Boards of Directors, ensuring smooth operations and mutual understanding.

In 2019, I was honored to receive a Certificate in Property Management from the Institute of Housing Management, accredited by Humber College. This achievement stands as a testament to my dedication and expertise in the field.

As an active member of the Provider Advisory Group with Niagara Regional Housing Services, I contribute to addressing challenges and devising solutions for issues that housing providers face in the Niagara Region. This group, initiated by the Service Manager, is instrumental in shaping the future of housing services.

From 2015 to 2021, I volunteered as an External Director and served as the President of the Board of Directors at a cooperative housing provider in the Niagara Region, further solidifying my leadership and governance skills.

Currently, I manage 245 housing units across the region, working diligently in both the cooperative and nonprofit sectors. Notably, 99 of these units are dedicated to fostering Senior Independent Living. 

The needs of each provider are unique, and I relish the challenge of ensuring that every office under my purview operates efficiently, guaranteeing tenant satisfaction and comfort in their homes.

In 2022 joined Niagara Peninsula Homes at the Paderewski Society Homes as an Assistant Property Manager.

From 1981 to 2016, I was employed by LifeLabs.  Concurrently, I worked at Niagara Health Systems for five years in Environmental Services.  In October 2021, I commenced a role with ROI Corporation, a business brokerage and appraisal firm headquartered in Oakville.
